Job Requirements

Assist individuals in activities of daily living, companionship and recreational activities
Work with individual to develop his/her goals
Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community

Qualifications
You must have the following qualifications for all available positions:
American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.
For respite and habilitation positions a personal vehicle may be required for member transportation. Your vehicle will need to pass a vehicle inspection (including functioning seat belts and air conditioning).
The state of Arizona requires that all individuals working with DDD members pass background checks by OIG, SAM, and Central Registry.
Hatch Haven requires that all staff be able to pass a drug test at any point in time.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work directly with adults who have physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Our aim is to assist each individual to become integrated into his/her community or the least restrictive environment.
Group Home
SCHEDULE: Flexible (around the clock coverage)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cook meals
- Grocery shopping
- Routine cleaning
- Medication administration
- Assist with toileting, bathing, and personal hygiene
- Take members to doctor appointments
- Take members to the church of their choosing if applicable
Respite / Habilitation
SCHEDULE: Flexible (days, evenings & weekends)
Respite / Habilitation Providers will be working with disabled individuals by helping them participate in activities that are both goal oriented and appropriate for the client needs.
Hours will vary due to individual needs, as will the services provided. Hours will include days, evenings and weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide transport in personal vehicle

Assist with toileting and/or cleaning if needed
- Assist members with outcomes / objectives / goals
DTA Program
SCHEDULE: Flexible (days, evenings & weekends)
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate daily in group outings
- Work on goals with members
- Member charting

Meal preparation

Assist with toileting and/or cleaning if needed
- Physically able to be on your feet for most of your shift
